How we decorate an existing structure dated 1940!
The apartment is old and imperfections exist. Consequently we need to respect this, unless playing through contrasts! But, it was not the case as we had a FIX POINT TO RESPECT: to use and adapt existing furniture!! Yet, our intervention was deep, but easy and fast, on few elements such as the kitchen, the old tiles covering all walls and, giving a new life on few doors! The decoration itself, through furniture and accessories give the final image. Not the structure of the areas! For increasing a little bit the height of the ceilings, we used a delicate color over the walls till a certain height. The dark and narrow hallway of the service area has been vibrated through a simple red line applied over an Andrew Martin shiny wallpaper!
